New York Classical Theatre will present a new, shortened adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV as the main production of the company’s 25th anniversary season.

Starring John Michalski as Sir John Falstaff and Ian Antal as Prince Hal, the Panoramic Theatre production reduces the two part historic play into a two-hour piece, adapted and directed by Stephen Burdman. Free to the public, the production will be one of many throughout the city filling the 'Shakespeare in the Park' hole left by the current renovation of the Delacorte Theatre.

Henry IV will be staged in three New York City parks throughout the summer season: from June 11 to 30, the production will play Central Park, then Carl Schurz Park from July 2 to 7, and finally, Battery Park July 9 through 14.

Additional casting for the production will be announced at a later date, as will creative team members in addition to Burdman.
