The cancellations come off the heels of a solid performance at the box office from the first set of previews; with just three shows, the play grossed $312,337 (about 83 percent of its potential).

The irreverent one-act traces the marginalization of Latinos in U.S. history and the vital roles they played—from a satirical recap of Aztec and Incan history to stories of Latin patriots in the Revolutionary and Civil War and beyond.

Ticketholders for the canceled performances should contact their point of purchase for refunds or exchanges.
