Holliday will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra Pops, conducted by Marvin Hamlisch. Audiences can expect to hear Holliday's Dreamgirls signatures, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and "I Am Changing," along with other favorites.
Holliday, a Tony Award winner for Dreamgirls, has also appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Chicago, Grease and Your Arm's Too Short to Box with God, as well as in the national tour of Sing, Mahalia, Sing. Her albums include "Feel My Soul," "Say You Love Me," "Get Close to My Love," "I'm On Your Side" and "On & On."
Multi-award winner Hamlisch is known to Broadway audiences as the composer of A Chorus Line, for which he received a Tony Award and co-received a Pulitzer Prize. His other Broadway scores include They're Playing Our Song, Smile, The Goodbye Girl and Sweet Smell of Success. He has served as the NSO's principal pops conductor for 11 seasons, the first person to hold that position with the orchestra.
