Standby is based on a concept by Alfred Solis. It features a book and lyrics by Mark-Eugene Garcia and Solis, and music is by Amy Baer and Keith Robinson.

Here's how it's billed: "A musical about making connections, finding love, and traveling on, Standby centers on five strangers who meet in an airport standby line and must decide among themselves who deserves to get on the next flight. They soon realize that this is no ordinary airport and their meeting is by no means a coincidence. With a pop-rock score, this musical reminds us how interconnected we are."

Other members of the creative team include scenic designer Patrick Rizzotti, costume designer Jennifer Caprio, lighting designer Jake DeGroot and assistant music director Rob Cookman. NYMF is the flagship program of The National Music Theater Network. Now entering its tenth year, The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) exists to "revitalize musical theatre culture by discovering and promoting new musical theatre artists, producers and projects; nurturing a vibrant and innovative artistic community; and connecting one of America's greatest art forms with a diverse, contemporary audience."

The Pershing Square Signature Center is located at 480 W. 42nd Street. For more information and tickets, visit StandbyTheMusical.com or NYMF.org.
