Tony winner Brown (Parade, Honeymoon in Vegas, Songs for a New World) will also direct the the spring 2013 production. Casting and dates of performance have not been announced.

A fourth mainstage production remains to be announced, according to 2ST.

The semi-autobiographical work recounts the relationship of Cathy and Jamie, whose courtship, marriage and ultimate break-up are told with one character moving chronologically forward and the other moving backward. The timing of the two stories intersects but once, on their wedding day.

The Last Five Years premiered Off-Broadway in 2002 at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott starred. Brown won 2002 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Score. The production is a popular title among colleges and regional companies nationwide.
