Jacob Storms' Tennessee Rising: The Dawn of Tennessee Williams is set to return for a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. The production will run January 19-February 2, 2024.

Storms wrote and stars in the solo play, which explores the early years of acclaimed playwright Tennessee Williams' career, culminating in the opening night of his first Broadway hit, The Glass Menagerie

Originally directed for the stage by Tony winner Alan Cumming, the play had its Off-Broadway premiere at AMT Theatre earlier this year. In August, Storms and Cumming presented a 60-minute version of Tennessee Rising at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

"I felt it was not only fascinating to shed light on the obscure years of such a legendary figure, but to also offer some hope and perspective to other young performers who are trying to make their way in the world, especially when it seems like the weight of the world is working against you," Storms told Playbill in an earlier interview. "Tennessee said he had to make a religion of endurance, which is something I think we can all relate to, especially those of us in the arts."
