Robert Wilson's Mary Said What She Said will make its North American premiere at NYU Skirball February 28-March 2, with Isabelle Huppert starring. The work, written by Darryl Pinckney and directed and designed by Wilson, is inspired by the life of Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots.

The "tour de force" performance features a classical score by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi. The work premiered in 2019 at Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, and will be performed in French with English surtitles. The production is the third stage collaboration between Huppert and Wilson, following 1993's Orlando and 2006's Quartet.

Huppert's acting honors include two César Awards, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe. Her most recent stage work includes Florian Zeller's The MotherLa Ménagerie de Verre directed by Ivo Van Hove, and The Cherry Orchard directed by Tiago Rodrigues.

Tickets for Mary Said What She Said are available at NYUSkirball.org.
