Lisa Kenner Grissom's latest, Here Comes The Night, will receive an industry reading October 22. Centering on the gathering of two women during an at-home medication abortion, the play deals head on with cross generational female friendships, a woman's right to choose, and how bodily autonomy affects a person's entire life.
Starring Alison Chace and Lauren Schaffel, the reading will be narrated Elyssa Nicole Trust, and feature direction by Illana Stein.
The reading will be presented at the Barrow Group. While the reading is free and open to industry professionals, they will be accepting donations for Plan C, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reproductive justice and access, at the door.
