Broadway will welcome illusionist Antonio “El Mago Pop” Díaz (Magic for Humans, La Gran Illusion) in his Main Stem debut this summer. His eponymously named show El Mago Pop will hit the stage of the Ethel Barrymore Theatre August 17 for a strictly limited two-week engagement.
Díaz will perform close-up magic and illusions in this show which looks to surprise and pay tribute to the dreams and illusions we all have. For the illusionist, performing on Broadway has been one of his own lifelong dreams, as he shared in a statement. “It will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge of my career," he said. "I am certain it will be a life-altering experience that I will remember for the rest of time.”
The 37-year-old will be the youngest illusionist to perform his own show on Broadway. He is the highest-grossing European illusionist in the world, and has two Netflix shows.
