News Hunter Foster to Direct New Musical About Baseball Bucks County Playhouse has announced that its 2015 season will step up to the plate with National Pastime, a new musical comedy about baseball and romance to be directed by Hunter Foster. The cast features a lineup of Broadway vets and will run April 2-19.

The cast of National Pastime includes Matthew Bauman, Meredith Beck, Will Blum (The Book of Mormon), Daniella Mia Diniz, Janine DiVita (Grease, Mystery of Edwin Drood, Anything Goes), Stephanie Gibson (Cinderella, Addams Family, Spamalot), Abe Goldfarb, Andrew Kober (Les Misérables), Kelli McGuire (National Pastime), Michael Dean Morgan (Amazing Grace), Spencer Plachy (Romeo & Juliet, Mystery of Edwin Drood), and Alexandria Van Paris.

The musical features music and lyrics by Albert M. Tapper and book by Tony Sportiello; choreography will be by Lorin Latarro (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, American Idiot).

Bucks County Playhouse will also host a screening of the documentary produced by the show's composer, "Broadway: The Golden Age" with Tapper himself to participate in a Q & A afterwards. Tapper's other musicals include Sessions and An Evening at the Carlyle.

Foster's directing credits at Bucks County include Summer of '42, The Rocky Horror Show and Ain't Misbehavin'.
