Broadway favorite Melissa Errico will release a new album of classics from the American Songbook, I Can Dream Can't I?, January 30, 2026. The first single from the upcoming release is out already. Hear Errico, joined by music director Tedd Firth, sing "When in Rome (I Do as the Romans Do)" above, in a video from British filmmaker Matthew Edginton.
“I first learned [the song] from Blossom Dearie, and when I found myself in Rome this summer, I kept laughing to myself and hearing it in my mind," says Errico of the track. "It’s about always being true to you, darling, in my fashion! I love music that is woven around wit, songs that make you smile.”
The album collects "standards that are not standard," according to press notes, including songs by Frank Loesser, Cy Coleman, Duke Ellington, Peggy Lee, Van Heusen, Rodgers and Hart, Jerome Kern, Sammy Fain, Dave Frishberg, Dori Caymmi, Joni Mitchell, Carolyn Leigh, Dorothy Fields, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, Oscar Hammerstein, Johnny Burke, and more.
Tracks from the album will continue to drop from every other week, including a special three-song holiday bundle prior to the complete release.
The Tony nominee, whose soaring soprano has graced such Broadway productions as Amour and White Christmas, is planning a concert tour this fall and winter ahead of the album's release, including a four-night engagement at 54 Below in New York City November 19-22.
