The new musical, about a boy who’ll do almost anything to fit in among his peers, will begin performances at the Belasco Theatre November 14, prior to an official opening December 4.
With a book by Steven Levenson, music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, choreography by Danny Mefford and direction by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, the musical follows a boy who is struggling to find his identity in a high school that doesn’t accept him.
Platt stars in the title role with Dreyfuss as Zoe, Mike Faist as Connor, Rachel Bay Jones as Heidi, Will Roland as Jared, Jennifer Laura Thompson as Cynthia, Michael Park as Larry and Kristolyn Lloyd as Alana.
