Decca Records has released Andrew Lloyd Webber's special anthem honoring the coronation of King Charles the III, "Make a Joyful Noise." The song features The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Choir of Westminster Abbey, The Fanfare Trumpeters of the Royal Air Force, and The Westminster Abbey Sub-Organist Peter Holder, and is conduct by the Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, Andrew Nethsingha.
"Make a Joyful Noise" adapts Psalm 98: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, the King." On the day of coronation, 6,000 churches across England will receive sheet music for the song to sing in their church services in the coming weeks.
The live recording of the song's world premiere performance at the Coronation service will be will be available on The Official Recording of The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla, also released by Decca Records this evening. ‘The Official Album’ includes all the featured music and spoken word from the global event.
