West End and Royal Shakespeare Company actor Jamie Ballard, who played the title role in London's Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, will make his American stage debut as Macbeth in a new adaptation of the Shakespeare drama this fall at New Jersey's The Curtain.

Directed and adapted by Sean Hagerty, Macbeth will begin performances October 10 at Nimbus Arts Center in downtown Jersey City. Opening night is set for October 13 with the limited engagement scheduled through November 3.

Ballard will be joined by Aria Shahghasemi (Prayer for the French Republic, Legacies) as Macduff with additional casting and creative team members to be announced.

The Curtain production of Shakespeare’s classic tale of witchcraft, madness, and ruthless ambition will be set in an intimate and haunting candlelit environment.
