Site-specific performance company En Garde Arts has revealed the contents of its 2025-2026 season, including two world premieres.

The season will begin this fall, with the world premiere of Hansol Jung's Last Call, a play with cocktails, which will run September 19-October 13 in private homes and apartments for audiences of between 20 and 40 guests. Co-directed by Jung and Dustin Wills, the play is equal parts ghost story, house party, and theatrical séance, with dramaturgy and mixology by Lexy Leuszler.

The production will feature a rotating cast, including Chris Bannow, Esco Jouléy, Dorcas Leung, Brian Quijada, Nicole Villamil, and Mitchell Winter.

Come 2026, the company will reunite with Jared Mezzocchi for the world premiere of 73 Seconds. Written and performed by Mezzocchi, the solo piece is about the familial stories we inherit, and the ones we almost never hear. Co-developed and directed by Aya Ogawa, 73 Seconds was developed at the Colorado New Play Festival. Its development continues throughout August with a presentation August 16 at the Catskill Arts Center and a work in progress performance at Ideal Glass August 18. Information on its stagings in New York will be released at a later date.

In addition to the two premieres, En Garde will present public showings and support development residencies for projects via Uncommon Voices, the group’s new work intergenerational residency and commissioning program. The projects include Samora la Perdida’s Spanglish Sh!t, Taibi Magar’s Tokitae, and Bill Martin’s The Turtle Story, directed by Seth Bockley.

En Garde has also commissioned two site-specific works from playwright Chisa Hutchinson and actress, playwright, and illustrator Camila Madero. Next summer, their Playdate series will return to spotlight NYC’s emerging artists. This series highlights the work of early career artists in the backyard of a Brooklyn brownstone, and through free outdoor performance series in Abolitionist Place Park in downtown Brooklyn.
