The trio will offer their own selections of comedy and song, followed by performances from They're Playing Our Song — both Klein and Arnaz starred in the original 1979 Broadway production of that Hamlisch musical. The evening serves as a benefit for Bay Street and for original They're Playing Our Song cast member Fran Liebergall. Show time is 7 PM. "I always look forward to sharing the stage with Marvin and Robert. There's such a great chemistry there…. But, to be making music together this time, knowing it will also help our great friend, Fran Liebergall, makes it even more special," Arnaz said in a statement.
Bay Street has also announced a staged reading of Anne Nelson's play The Guys to commemorate Sept. 11. The 8 PM reading on Sept. 11 will feature direction by Gerard Priori and feature actors William J. McKay and Myla Pitt. Proceeds benefit the East End Fire Departments.
The Bay Street Comedy Club will also welcome Janeane Garofalo and Al Madrigal for an evening of laughs on Sept. 7 at 8 PM.
Tickets can be purchased by calling (631) 725-9500 or by visiting BayStreet.
