Hamilton’s original Schuyler Sisters—Renee Elise Goldsberry, Phillipa Soo, and Jasmine Cephas Jones—reunited in front of the world February 5 to help kick off the Super Bowl. The three women sang “America The Beautiful,“ and finished off their performance by saying: “Sisterhood.“
Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is currently in London, showed his support by tweeting photos of his video chats with Goldsberry, and Hamilton’s music director Alex Lacamoire, who was the music arranger for the Super Bowl performance. Lacamoire tweeted that it was Goldsberry, Soo, and Cephas Jones’ idea to add “Sisterhood“ to the end of the song.
