The semi-autobiographical work, from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, recounts the relationship of Cathy and Jaime, whose courtship, marriage and ultimate break-up are told with one character moving chronologically forward and the other moving backward. The timing of the two stories intersects but once, on their wedding day. David Ledingham directs. Hadley Frasier recently made his Broadway debut in The Pirate Queen. His U.K. credits include Assassins, Les Misérables and Pacific Overtures.
Paige Price's Broadway credits include Saturday Night Fever, Smokey Joe’s Café and Beauty and the Beast. Price will also debut her solo show The eX-Files at Theatre Aspen.
The Last Five Years, which ran Off-Broadway in 2002, has gained quite a large fan base and is produced in numerous colleges and regional companies nationwide. Jason Robert Brown won the 2002 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Score.
Jason Robert Brown earned a Tony Award for his score for Parade. His other credits include Songs for a New World, Urban Cowboy, the Broadway-bound 13 and the upcoming musical venture Honeymoon in Vegas.
