Industry News Grosses Analysis: School of Rock Gets Box-Office Boost in Final Week on Broadway The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ended its run January 20 after playing more than 1,300 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock brought in $909,452 at the box office for the week ending January 20—its final week on Broadway—with an uptick of $173,776 from the week prior. The musical, which recouped its entire Broadway investment in May 2017, ended its run at the Winter Garden Theatre January 20 after 1,309 regular performances and 31 previews.

Broadway’s Waitress, currently starring singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles and Tony winner Gavin Creel, returned to the million dollar club this week, taking in $1,026,100.

Hamilton continues its reign as the top grosser, with $3,217,087 at the box office, followed by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ($2,063,774), The Lion King ($1,794,617), To Kill a Mockingbird ($1,541,089), and Wicked ($1,478,702).
