News Groff Will Be Part of Spring Awakening Holiday Concert Dec. 15 Jonathan Groff, who originated the role of Melchior in the Tony-winning Spring Awakening, will join the current cast of that Duncan Sheik-Steven Sater musical for an upcoming concert at Joe's Pub.

Part of Ghostlight Records' Late-Night Concert Series, The Spring Awakening Holiday Concert will be presented Dec. 15 at 11:30 PM. The evening will feature new arrangements of holiday songs penned by Spring Awakening vocal arranger Ann Marie Milazzo. Kimberly Grigsby will be the musical director.

Proceeds will benefit Safe Place, "a nationwide organization whose mission is to provide access to immediate help and supportive resources for all young people in crisis through a network of sites sustained by qualified agencies, trained volunteers and businesses."

The Ghostlight series will also present A Night O'Naughton — featuring Kelli O'Hara and Greg Naughton — Dec. 1 at 11:30 PM. The evening will also feature Rich Price and Brian Chartrand, who, with Naughton, comprise The Sweet Remains.

Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets, priced $25, can be purchased by visiting www.joespub.com.
