News Grease: Live Star's Father Passes Away, But She Says, "I Do The Show In His Honor" Vanessa Hudgens, who will star as Rizzo in tonight's broadcast of Grease: Live on Fox, announced on Twitter that her father passed away from Stage 4 cancer Jan. 30. She said she will perform tonight's show in his honor.

Hudgens' father was in the hospital during rehearsals for Grease: Live. The 27-year-old actress rose to fame by way of Disney's "High School Musical"; she made her Broadway debut as the title role in Gigi, and tonight she will star as Rizzo in Grease.

I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.
