Lyons received a master's degree in arts administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia and a bachelor's degree in English from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.

Glimmerglass Opera Names New Director of Administrations and Operations
Andrea Lyons has been named director of administrations and operations for Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, New York, the company announced. She will be replacing Jeryl Dropp, effective September.
Lyons is currently executive director of the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls, New York. In her current role, Lyons manages the programming, fundraising, marketing and public relations departments. Before working at the Wood Theater, Lyons's posts included production administrator for the Minnesota Opera and stage management office supervisor for Glimmerglass Opera.
