The earlier group of episodes in the spring will also feature Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow in a two-episode reprise of her role as substitute music teacher Holly Holliday. Co-creator Ryan Murphy told EW that Paltrow would appear in episodes 15 and 16 as a sex-education teacher and will date Will Schuester (Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison).
Among the covers to be featured in the spring season will be Lady Gaga's upcoming single, "Born This Way," which will be used in an episode centered around Karofsky (Max Adler), a closeted gay student who is one of the school's bullies. TVline.com also reports a February episode that will center around the music of teen pop idol Justin Bieber.
"Glee" will premiere its spring season Feb. 6, in a post-Super Bowl episode featuring CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric. The hit musical series will air thereafter on Tuesdays at 8 PM on Fox.
