News Gillian Anderson Streetcar and Mark Rylance Nice Fish Slated for St. Ann's Season St. Ann's Warehouse has announced the line-up for its inaugural season in its new home on Brooklyn's waterfront. Included in the slate: three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance (Twelfth Night, Jerusalem) in the New York premiere of Nice Fish; Young Vic's production of A Streetcar Named Desire starring Gillian Anderson and Ben Foster; and Donmar Warehouse's all-female re-imagining of Henry IV.

The new season also features a debut opera by Once writer Enda Walsh as well as a circus that will take place in a spaceship tent under the Brooklyn Bridge.

St. Ann's, which presents critically acclaimed theatrical productions from around the world, is on the cusp of opening its new home: a 25,000 square foot theatre on the waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The Donmar Warehouse production of
Henry IV, by William Shakespeare

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd
Nov. 6 – Dec. 6
London's Donmar Warehouse returns following the 2013 all-female production of Julius Caesar, also directed by Lloyd. In the same vein, the company presents an all-woman cast, led by Harriet Walter, for Henry IV. Set against the backdrop of women in prison, the production ignites important conversations about gender and equality. 
Landmark Productions/Wide Open Opera
The Last Hotel; A New Opera by Donnacha Dennehy and Enda Walsh

Jan 8 – 17, 2016
American Premiere

Co-presented with PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now (Toxic Psalms) and Irish Arts Center, The Last Hotel is Walsh's first opera. According to press notes, the opera begins with a man silently mopping the floor with a bucket full of bloody water, preparing for the next guest. Three people nervously meet in the parking lot. "There will be a death."

A Mini-Festival of New Puppet Theater from The Lab
Jan. 28 – 31, 2016
St. Ann's Puppet Lab celebrates 18 years with another annual festival showcasing new works-in-progress. 

American Repertory Theater’s
Nice Fish; Conceived, Written and Adapted by Louis Jenkins and Mark Rylance

Feb. 14 – March 13, 2016
New York Premiere
Internationally acclaimed actor Rylance returns to Brooklyn in a play he has co-written with Louis Jenkins based on Jenkins' book of poems of the same name. The production, which premiered at the Guthrie Theater, reflects the wry, surreal quality of the poetic work, set at the end of the fishing season on a lake in frozen Minnesota. There, two men search for answers to life's biggest questions.

A Streetcar Named Desire

April 23 – May 22, 2016
American Premiere
In association with Bruno Wang Productions, Australian director Benedict Andrews brings his acclaimed production of the Williams' classic, starring Anderson as Blanche DuBois and Foster as Stanley Kowalski. Andrews stages the play in the round, with a revolving set in the center.

North American Premiere The international company of 35 performers and technicians, known for inventing worlds that break down boundaries between the real and imaginary, will touch down in a spaceship tent under the Brooklyn Bridge for a month-long residency. The show blends large-scale imagery, circus, live music, movement and innovative design.
