Based on the Amanda Browning novel and the 2001 MGM film starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde the Musical follows Elle Woods on her transformation from "It Girl" fashionista to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love.
The musical has original music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach.
The touring production also features set design by Colin Richmond, costume design by Tom Rogers, wigs, hair, and make-up design by Sam Cox, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Adam Fisher, and casting by Harry Blumenau. It is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
Legally Blonde played 30 previews and 595 regular performances at Broadway's Palace Theatre from April 3, 2007-October 19, 2008. Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the production was nominated for seven 2007 Tony Awards.
