On his way to opening, Takei is offering a web series "The Road to Broadway." In his first episode, he explains that he is impatiently awaiting his Broadway bow and thinks that he should be considered for the cast of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark.
Allegiance is described as "a new musical about love, loss and heroism in the backdrop of the Japanese American internment."
