The musical, written by the same authors as The Unauthorized O.C. Musical and Cruel Intentions: The Musical, will star original "Friday Night Lights" cast member Scott Porter as Coach Taylor. Molly McCook will appear as Tyra Collette.
Co-creator Lindsey Rosin and her producing partner Jordan Ross announced the project after getting official permission from NBC Universal.
Full casting and performance dates have not yet been announced for the production. Currently, the show is set to run for one night or one weekend.
