Tony winner Frances Ruffelle (Les Miserables, Chicago, Piaf) and Norman Bowman (Mamma Mia!, Cats) will bring their cabaret act, Frankie & Beausy, to London's Crazy Coqs June 6 at 7 PM and 9:15 PM and New York's 54 Below November 10-11 at 7 PM.
Frankie and Beausy, according to press notes, met at a train station in Scotland 26 years ago on Valentine’s Day, she a Broadway performer and Edinburgh Festival survivor and he a shy musical theatre lover from Scotland. The duo celebrate their loving friendship in songs from Brigadoon to Broadway and from the Highlands to Hollywood.
Created and staged by Ruffelle and Bowman, the evenings will also feature direction by Paul Baker, musical direction and arrangements by Ryan McKenzie, and additional musical arrangements by David Barber.
The artists will be backed by Kate Shortt on cello and Nick Anderson on drums.
