Classic Arts News First Look at Seattle Opera’s Production of The Magic Flute The popular opera, conducted by Julia Jones, returns May 6.

The Seattle Opera’s production of The Magic Flute begins May 6, and runs through Sunday, May 21. Returning after a successful premiere at McCaw Hall in 2011, the production welcomes English maestro Julia Jones, who is making her company debut and stars American tenors Andrew Stenson and Randall Bills, who will be sharing the role of Prince Tamino.

The Magic Flute features returning artists include Amanda Opuszynski, Adam Lau, Eric Neuville and Ryan Bede, and Jonathan Silvia as well as stage director Chris Alexander, Robert A. Dahlstrom who created the sets with Robert Schaub, light design by Duane Schulder, and award-winning costumes by Zandra Rhodes.
