The musical Anastasia (based on the 1956 historical drama and 1997 musical movie) is being readied for Broadway by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Terrence McNally. Previews begin March 23 at the Broadhurst Theatre. The production will feature Christy Altomare as Anya, Derek Klena as Dmitry, John Bolton as Vlad, Caroline O’Connor as Lily, Ramin Karimloo as Gleb, and Mary Beth Peil as Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna.
