Cassius Weiners had cracked...

This week is short and sweet, but it gave us the giggles. The rep company of actors at American Shakespeare Center have been having fun mashing up their classical characters with some pop culture sound bites from film and television.

In the video below, Cassius and Brutus from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar plot an assassination, à la Mean Girls. And check out the company's TikTok for even more videos, like Pride and Prejudice's Mr. Collins sounding a little like Eric Cartman when he explains why he wants to marry Eliza Bennett.

The American Shakespeare Center was founded in 1988, and was then known as the traveling Shenandoah Shakespeare Express. Now located in Staunton, Virginia, the company became the ASC in 2005, and continues to present Shakespeare's works at Staunton's Blackfriars Playhouse. Check out their full season here
