Solotoff joined the Pensacola Symphony in 2003, and took the orchestra through the remodeling and expansion of the Saenger Theatre, where it performs. He also increased ticket sales and lunched a couple of successful series.
Robert de Varona, incoming president of the PSO's board of directors, said, "Ari has been a great asset to the Pensacola Symphony in these last two years of growth and transition. He increased the visibility and prestige of our orchestra and was instrumental in the success of our capital campaign. He is a talented leader and will go far."
A search is being conducted for Solotoff's replacement.
