Film & TV News Exclusive: Check Out Tony Winner Michael Aronov—With Elephants—in NBC’s The Blacklist The Oslo actor guest stars in the drama’s fifth season.

After making a guest appearance in the Season 5 premiere on The Blacklist, Michael Aronov returns to the NBC drama in the season’s third episode, airing October 11. As depicted in these exclusive photos, the Oslo Tony winner now has elephants in tow.

Aronov plays Smokey Putnam, a logistics expert with a past as a circus manager caught in an embezzling scheme. As “Red” (James Spader) works to rebuild his criminal empire with the help of Smokey and Heddie Hawkins (Aida Turturro), Smokey has a special plan of his own—involving circus animals.

Prior to Oslo, Aronov appeared on Broadway in Golden Boy. He has also been cast in the film Operation Finale; he'll play Israeli agent Zvi Aharoni opposite Oscar Isaac.
