Eve Ensler, the Tony-honored playwright of The Vagina Monologues, will appear in conversation with Tony winner and Oscar nominee Glenn Close May 13 at the 92nd Street Y.

Close (Sunset Boulevard, The Wife) will interview Ensler about her new book, The Apology, which hits shelves May 14. The book is described as “a powerful, life-changing examination of abuse and atonement” in the wake of a “cultural moment of public reckoning with violence against women.”

The 6:30 PM event in Kaufmann Concert Hall will feature guest speakers reading passages from the book.
