Sept. 23: Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson co-star in the Broadway revival of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Gin Game. The two are sharing a Broadway stage together for the first time since 1966.
Sept. 24: All aboard! Dames at Sea, the 1968 musical that helped launch the career of Tony winner Bernadette Peters sets sail on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre - with all news dance and vocal arrangements and a star cast.
OPENING
Sept. 17: A pastor's faith is seriously questioned when he makes a groundbreaking announcement during his opening sermon. Lucas Hnath's The Christians invites audiences into church for the evening - with choir and all - whilst offering an interesting examination of faith in America.
Sept. 27: There's no denying the buzz that has surrounded the Broadway revival of rock musical Spring Awakening this fall. The new production, presented by Deaf West, is performed simultaneously in English and American Sign Language.
LAST CHANCE
Sept. 27: Following an extension due to high demand, Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott's prison drama Whorl Inside a Loop closes Off-Broadway. The show reunites the creative team behind the Tony-nominated Everyday Rapture, with co-directors Michael Mayer and Scanlan, and is inspired by real-life stories of inmates.

Sept. 20: 54 Below stages a benefit worth supporting! Proceeds from Broadway Back to School go towards helping support theatre arts education for underserved students and schools. The line-up features Tony nominees Chad Kimball and Stephanie D’Abruzzo, among other talents.
Sept. 21: Brandon Victor Dixon, the Tony and Grammy nominated star of Motown the Musical and the upcoming Shuffle Along, celebrates his 34th birthday at Joe's Pub with an evening of original music and special covers.
Sept. 21: Hollywood Arms, the autobiographical 2002 play by Carol Burnett and her late daughter Carrie Hamilton, receives a special concert reading with Burnett herself. The Broadway and TV vet is joined by Tyne Daly, Emily Skeggs and original cast member Michele Pawk at Merkin Concert Hall.
Sept. 21: The Broadway community honors the late Roger Rees, who passed way July 10 at age 71. The hour-long memorial is held at the New Amsterdam Theatre at 1 PM, celebrating his life and successful career.
Sept. 22: Are you ready to scream? Fox launches its "Scream Squeens" TV series. The comedy-horror features a host of Broadway stars including Lea Michele, Ariana Grande and Keke Palmer.
Sept. 25: Head to the cinema and catch Roland Emmerich's "Stonewall," about a young man's political and social awakening during the weeks leading up to the famed Stonewall riots in New York City. The film stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the lead role.
Sept. 25: If you like your mass with a side of top entertainment, then don't miss Pope Francis' visit to New York City next weekend. Kelli O'Hara, Martin Sheen, Harry Connick Junior, Jennifer Hudson and Norm Lewis are a few of the names that will grace the stage at Madison Square Garden.
