After more than 15 years, FRIGID New York's annual theatre festival has been rebranded as the official New York City Fringe Festival.
Presented at the performance hubs UNDER St. Marks, the wild project, and the 14Y Theater, the celebration of creativity and early career ingenuity will be held April 3-21. Individual show tickets and festival passes will go on sale in February, alongside a full schedule of performances.
NYC's Fringe is an open lottery-based festival that allows artists to keep all of the box office proceeds from their work, allowing them to further invest in their own artistic evolution. The New York City Fringe is a proud member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF) and the United States Associate of Fringe Festivals (USAFF).
A wide variety of productions have already been announced for this spring's Fringe, including The Leading Lady Club: A Feminist (But Still Likable) Sketch Show, which was one of Playbill's favorites at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe. Written by Sarah Hogewood, the piece will play the wild project for the New York City Fringe Festival.
