The two actors join the previously announced Bill Irwin and Kathleen Turner, who are reprising their Broadway roles. The tour has also confirmed the addition of a Chicago stop at the La Salle Bank Theatre from March 27 to April 8, 2007. The four other stops will be Washington, D.C. (Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater, Jan. 4-28), Los Angeles (Ahmanson Theatre, Feb. 6-March 18), San Francisco (theatre to be announced, April 11-May 12) and Tucson (Music Hall, May 15-20).
Furr took over the role of Nick from David Harbour in the Broadway incarnation of Virginia Woolf. Kathleen Early's credits include the Off-Broadway production of Albee's The Play About the Baby.
Anthony Page directed the Broadway production — which opened March 20, 2005, and closed Sept. 5 after eight previews and 177 performances — and will direct the tour. Irwin won a Tony Award for his portrayal of George. The mounting also played a run in London in early 2006.
