A new Yacht Rock jukebox musical with a book by Donnie Kehr and arrangements by Logan Medland will give invitation-only readings at NYC's Open Jar Studios May 5 and 6. The musical is described as a mash-up of The Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, and Fantasy Island—"only the perfect piña colada can save the day!"

The ensemble cast will feature Andrew Cekala (Pippin), Rebecca Covington (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Bradley Dean (Redwood), Gabrielle Elisabeth (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Jonathan Hadley (A Class Act), Andy Karl (Into the Woods), Brian Charles Johnson (American Idiot), Dominic Nolfi (A Bronx Tale), Jennifer Perry (Kinky Boots), Adam T Perkins (The Guys), Courter Simmons (Jersey Boys), and Bligh Voth (Jagged Little Pill).

Kehr, a veteran Broadway actor who has appeared in Billy Elliot, Jersey Boys, Aida, and The Who's Tommy, will also direct, with music direction by Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages). HNB Entertainment is producing.

"These musical gems are being discovered by a new generation of pop culture fans, so we’re excited to introduce Dreamboat to New York.”
