Dark Two-Hander Yes Begins Performances Tonight | Playbill

News Dark Two-Hander Yes Begins Performances Tonight Following an earlier sold-out run at the Emerging Artists Theatre, Tim Realbuto's new drama Yes returns Off-Broadway Jan. 19 for performances at the Hudson Guild Theater. Realbuto (Ghostlight, Wunderkind) also stars in and directs the piece about a dangerous cat-and-mouse game.

According to production notes, "Yes is a one-act, two-person drama about Patrick Ness (Realbuto), a fading star in his 30’s who now teaches private acting lessons in NYC, and the relationship that forms with Jeremiah, his new teenage student that Patrick happened to see in a high school production of Romeo and Juliet. What begins as an innocent acting lesson turns into a sick game of cat and mouse, resulting in mental torture, sexual advances, and perhaps the destruction of two (possibly) innocent people. Who will win the game? Will anyone win at all?" Joe Blute reprises his role as Jeremiah for the production.

Paul Mitchell Wilder serves as the production stage manager as well as understudy to both roles. It is being produced and presented by the Venus/Adonis Theater Festival.

Performances continue through Jan. 24. Tickets are available by visiting BrownPapertickets.com. The Hudson Guild Theater is located at 441 West 26th St., Manhattan.
