Atlanta's Dad’s Garage, in association with Inverness Productions, will present private industry readings of the long-running Garage hit, Invasion: Christmas Carol, next month in New York City.
Directed by Sean Daniels (The White Chip), the readings will be held November 3 at 11 AM and 3 PM at Open Jar Studios. The cast will include Amber Nash (Archer), Tim Stoltenberg, Kevin Gillese, Freddy Boyd, Josh Quinn, and Karen Cassady.
In Invasion: Christmas Carol, the Dad’s Garage ensemble skewers and twists the quintessential Charles Dickens holiday play, A Christmas Carol, by combining scripted theatre and improv. In addition to the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future, Ebenezer Scrooge and the rest of his Dickensian universe is visited by a surprise character at the top of each performance.
Invasion: Christmas Carol has been playing to sold-out audiences during the holidays since 2008. This will be the first time the show is presented in New York.
Dad’s Garage is an award-winning non-profit theatre founded in 1995. They perform improv comedy, scripted plays, original works, and musicals almost every week of the year—both at their home in Atlanta, Georgia, and at festivals and events across North America.
