Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has revealed full casting for its upcoming world premiere stage musical Bear Snores On, adapted from Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman's book.
The musical features a book by Cush Jumbo and Katy Sechiari, both of whom are co-directing. Music and lyrics are by Harry Blake, who is serving as music director. Performances will run March 23-April 21, with opening night set for March 27.
The cast will include Ashh Blackwood as Hare, Lauren Conroy as Mouse, Ashley D Gayle as Bear and Gardener, Albert Graver as Raven and Wren, and Annabel Marlow as Badger.
The story follows a mouse who takes shelter from a snow storm in a cave only to find a host of new animal friends.

The production will feature scenic and costume design by Rebecca Brower, lighting design by Joshie Harriette, puppet design and direction by Maia Kirkman-Richards, movement direction by Ebony Molina, and sound design by Luke Swaffield. Casting is by Lotte Hines.
The outdoor venue's season will continue with Twelfth Night beginning May 3, a new musical version of Roald Dahl's The Enormous Crocodile beginning May 17, a new stage play adaptation of The Secret Garden beginning June 15, and Fiddler on the Roof beginning July 27.
