Casting is now complete for the West End debut of the Broadway musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, which will begin previews April 11 prior to an official opening
April 24 at the London Coliseum. Performances are currently scheduled through September 7.
As previously reported, the cast will be led by Jamie Muscato as Jay
Gatsby and Frances Mayli McCann as Daisy Buchanan, the roles created on
Broadway by Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, respectively.
Newly announced for the production are Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) as Nick Carraway, Amber Davies (Pretty Woman) as Jordan Baker, Joel Montague (Hamilton) as George Wilson, John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables) as Meyer Wolfsheim, Jon Robyns (Phantom of the Opera) as Tom Buchanan, and Rachel Tucker (Wicked) as Myrtle Wilson.
The ensemble will feature George Crawford (Waitress), Jordan Crouch (Anything Goes), Kiara Dario (Miss Saigon), Frances Dee (Matilda), Aimée Fisher (Waitress), Tom Andrew Hargreaves (Pretty Woman), Alyn Hawke (Come From Away), Ediz Mahmut. (Hadestown), Jamel Matthias (Why Am I So Single?), Nevé McGuiness-Dyce (Starlight Express), Rose Ouellette (The Wizard of Oz), Sophie Pourret (Guys and Dolls), William Richardson (Les Misérables), and Lily Wang (Burlesque). Completing the company are swings Liv Alexander (Cabaret), Taylor Alman (Greatest Days), Lauren Hampton (Mamma Mia!), Jared Irving (Aladdin), Samuel John-Humpreys (Sister Act), and Millie Mayhew (Wicked).

The Great Gatsby features music and lyrics by Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square) and Jason Howland (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and a book by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones). Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) directs with choreography by Dominique Kelley (Mariah’s Magical Christmas Special).
Set in the Roaring '20s, the musical follows eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in his tragic pursuit of Daisy Buchanan, a wealthy young woman whom he loved in his youth.
The Great Gatsby also features scenic and projection design
by Paul Tate de Poo III, costume design by Linda Cho, sound design by
Brian Ronan, lighting design by Cory Pattak, and hair and wig design by
Charles G. LaPointe and Rachael Geier.
Arrangements are by Jason Howland, orchestrations are by Howland and Kim Scharnberg, and the music producer is Grammy winner Billy Jay Stein for Strike Audio. Casting is by Jill Green Casting.
The new musical won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical.
