Matthew Lombardo's new semi-autobiographical play Conversations With Mother officially opens at Off-Broadway's Theatre 555 February 23 after beginning previews February 7. The limited run will continue through May 11. 

Starring in the two-hander are The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Caroline Aaron and Company Tony winner Matt Doyle. Understudies Antoinette LaVecchia and John Jeffrey Martin round out the company. Casting is by Nick Peciaro.

The semi-autobiographical work follows Italian matriarch Maria Collavechio and her gay son over five decades.

The production is offering a digital same-day rush via TodayTix. A limited number of $39 tickets become available in the app each performance day beginning at 9 AM ET.

Noah Himmelstein is directing with scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Ryan Park, lighting design by Elizabeth Harper, sound design by John Gromada, projection design by Caite Hevner, and hair and wig design by Tom Watson.

Bryan McCaffrey, BPM Theatrical, David Shapiro, Laura Z. Barket, Theatre Nerd Productions, Willette and Manny Klausner, Jim Jensen, and Annaleise Loxton are producing, with Showtown Productions' Nathan Gehan and Jamison Scott serving as executive producers.
