A host of Broadway favorites will take part in a November 3 gala concert evening at The Players in Gramercy Park.
Entitled Sculpting Our Love of Theatre, the 7:30 PM benefit performance will feature Tony winner Bonnie Milligan (Kimberly Akimbo), Amber Iman (Lempicka), Conrad Ricamora (Oh, Mary!), Alyse Alan Louis (Disaster!), and Jelani Alladin (Frozen).
Proceeds from the gala will benefit The Players Foundation for Theatre Education and The Players Preservation Fund, the two organizations that support the mission of The Players. Founded in 1888 by actor Edwin Booth (for whom the Booth Theatre is named), The Players has remained a fixture of the Broadway and Off-Broadway world for the last 137 years. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1963.
Kevin Winebold is music directing, and casting is by Erica Hart. The evening is being presented by Tom Saporito Productions (Saturday Church, Death of a Salesman).
