Four-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, most recently nominated for her starring role in Manhattan Theatre Club's revival of Saint Joan, will host the company's upcoming spring gala at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event will be held May 14 and will feature performances from a number of Broadway shows.
The lineup of shows slated to perform includes The Band’s Visit, Escape to Margaritaville, Frozen, Mean Girls, Once On This Island, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.
The evening, directed by Richard Maltby Jr., will kick off at 7 PM. The creative team also includes lighting designer Jason Lyons, sound designer Leon Rothenberg, and music director Justin Hornback. The MTC Spring Gala co-chairs are Matthew C. Blank, Marie T. Gallagher, and Thomas F. Secunda.
