It's the Roaring Twenties! The 1920s, that is. A concert staging of Gatsby A Musical will be filmed at London's Cadogan Hall and be made available for streaming February 12–14.

Adapted by director Linnie Reedman and with a score by Joe Evans, the musical is inspired by the F. Scott Fitzgerald's Jazz Age tome, The Great Gatsby. Set seven years after the events of the novel, Daisy Buchanan revisits Jay Gatsby’s mansion after leaving that world behind, set on confronting her past by reliving the dream she shared with Gatsby.

Former Spandau Ballet frontman Ross William Wild (Million Dollar Quartet) and Olivier Award nominee Charlotte Wakefield (Spring Awakening, The Sound of Music), play Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan. The production also stars four-time Olivier Award nominee Emma Williams and West End veteran Mark Antolin.

Further casting includes Blake Patrick Anderson, Chanice Alexander-Burnett, Lauren Chinery, Robert Grose, Oliver Mawdsley, Tristan Pegg, and Marc Rhys.

Gatsby A Musical has previously been staged at the Crazy Coqs, the King’s Head, Riverside Studios, the Leicester Square Theatre, Theatre Royal Windsor and The Other Palace.

Written in 1925, The Great Gatsby was not immediately a critical or financial success for Fitzgerald, and would not become so until after his death in the mid-20th century. Although the work has been adapted many times for stage and screen, it has just this year entered the public domain.
