Domingo joins a cast that features Forest Whitaker as Allen, Oprah Winfrey as his wife, Matthew McConaughey as John F. Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon and Tony nominees Alan Rickman (Seminar) and Jane Fonda (33 Variations) as Ronald and Nancy Reagan, respectively.
The cast also includes Cuba Gooding, Jr., David Oyelowo, Lenny Kravitz, Jess Williams and Alex Pettyfer. Lee Daniels will direct from a screenplay by Danny Strong, which is based on Wil Haygood's Washington Post article about Allen.
Domingo, who was nominated for the Tony Award in 2011 for his performance in The Scottsboro Boys, was also seen on Broadway in Passing Strange, Well and Chicago. Visit his page at the Playbill Vault.
