Casting has been revealed for the upcoming site-specific staging of Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's The Wasp. The Olivier Award-winning playwright's psychological thriller will be performed in a private loft in NYC's Financial District, with performances running October 23-November 15. Rory McGregor is at the helm.
Colby Minifie and Amy Forysth will lead the two-hander following Heather and Carla, who haven't spoken since school. When they meet again, what begins as a friendly reunion spirals into a tense and unsettling encounter where long-buried secrets surface.
Little Engine Theater presents the production, which will feature set design by three-time Tony winner Scott Pask, costume design by Rodrigo Muñoz, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, and sound design by Brian Hickey. Hannah Sgambellone will serve as production stage manager alongside stage manager Frederick Krepps.
