They may not yet have the success or name recognition of Zaks, Tillinger and Ellis, but Jeff Cohen, Maria Mileaf and Rob Urbinati among the new crop of directors making their styles and ideas felt on New York City stages. As such, the trio will take part in a special panel at the Dramatists Guild, Jan. 27, wherein they'll discuss the creative process and where new directors fit into the old guard of commercial and avant-garde theatre. Cohen staged The Seagull: The Hamptons, 1990 and Whoa Jack, Mileaf recently directed Lobster Alice, and Urbinati wrote and helmed Hazelwood Jr. High.
