The revue, which recently had a critically acclaimed New England run, features direction and choreography by Dan Lavender, who also conceived the piece. The production stars Gerrianne Raphael as Judith Bliss, Tom Beckett as Elyot and Natalie Silverlieb as Elvira with Cooper Grodin on piano. Seth Bisen-Hersh is the musical director for Cocktails with Coward, which also features scenic and costume design by Anne Lommel. Coward, according to production notes, "honors the life and times of Noël Coward . . . by intimating the audience to him through some of his most celebrated characters: Elyot Chase (of Private Lives), Judith Bliss (Hay Fever), Elvira (Blithe Spirit), and Tony (Star Quality). These classy, sassy and sexy personalities rendezvous in hopes of a martini-laden encounter with their creator, Noël Coward. When he is inexplicably detained, they gossip, dish and perform some of Coward’s most entertaining music."
The revue will play July 19 at 9 PM, July 20 and 22 at 6 PM, July 23 at 5:30 PM, July 24 at 2 and 8 PM and July 25-27 at 9 PM.
